My very first composite image

For my digital imaging class the final assignment was to make a composite image. We could do basically do whatever we wanted to do, but the only catch was we had to draw pieces of paper out of a box that had elements written on them. The elements where: human, them, and an object. I drew alpha male, film noir, and delicate textiles. I shot both the woman and man with the Nikon D300 on two separate occasions. I put the man in the front looking directly at the camera to give the dominate feel. Then I composited the woman into the background with varying opacities. This image wasn't entirely my orginal idea but I still like the end result.

Daniel

This is an image put together of my boyfriend. He is extremely goofy and silly most of the time. I was browsing through my images and theses two where side by side and I thought I would be interesting to put them together. I like the way the images work together.

Rob

I photographed Rob just recently for my portrait portfolio. I used one white lightning and I like how he stands out from the background and the background is still illuminated just enough. The only thing I would change about this image if I was going to re-shoot it would be to use another light on rob. I would like a nice rim light on the right side of him. Other then that I like the image.

Caroline in the Studio

This is the second session for my long term project. I wanted a really simple image so that all of the attention went to Caroline. Just like last time, she did a wonderful job. I shot this with the 5D and I was really amazed at the image quality. It is such a nice camera.

Up Close and Personal

This is one of my photos from an assignment I had this past summer. This assignment was called "Up Close and Personal" because I had to walk up to strangers on the street and convince them to let me take their picture with the camera as close as possible. This was a friend of my boyfriend's that I has just met right after the assignment was given. Since then Rob as become a really good friend of mine and he is now my boyfriend's roommate. I'm going to look for the other images I used for this assignment and I will post them.

Party

So, I went over to my classmate Griffin's house on Saturday night. I had a lot of fun...especially when everyone started dancing.
